Jessica and Wesley’s Richmond Hill wedding is a beautiful example of how you don’t need to compromise the details when having to make last-minute changes to your wedding!

You may remember Jess and Wes from their Toronto Islands engagement session, one of our all-time favourites from 2020. Although their wedding day weather was unpredictable (think sunny morning followed by an afternoon of rainy downpours every 20 minutes on a day that called for no rain at all), Jess and Wes stayed committed to enjoying their day, their family, and each other. Originally planned for later this spring, their wedding was moved up as restrictions kept changing last minute. With an amazing team of vendors and family, Jess and Wes pulled together a warm, heartfelt, and romantic day full of thoughtful details.

Savouring everything, Jess and Wes lived in the moment.

Lighthearted and fun, they enjoyed as many wedding moments as possible. From sharing a first look to creating a reception feel for their family-only supper afterwards, their uncompromising focus allowed them to experience the feel of a pre-pandemic wedding where others might have given up hope. As we watched Wes tear up while Jess walked down her backyard aisle, we knew it would be one of our favourite memories. They savoured everything. They lived in the moment.

Jess and Wes, thank you for including us in your beautiful day. As you worked past restrictions, fickle weather, and last-minute vendor changes, you’ve inspired us to encourage other couples to hold on to their hope for a meaningful wedding day that will be remembered long after it is over. We’re so grateful for this chance to celebrate your new marriage. Congratulations!
