We are so happy to share this beautiful Montreal wedding with you guys! Esme and Zach are one of the most fun and sincere couples and it was an absolute JOY to photograph their wedding.
Esme and Zach’s wedding was on a doubleheader weekend, and we had to travel overnight just to make it in time for their prep. And we would do it again without ANY HESITATION. Esme and Zach are absolute gems!
A Montreal Wedding
Esme and Zach reflected their sweetness as a couple in their details. Esme’s dress and details were demure and soft, with a pop of colour in her bouquet. Zach’s printed tie, fun socks, and a bright boutonniere complemented a traditional navy suit. The balance between romantic and fun emulated both their personalities perfectly!
Esme and Zach are also one of those couples that don’t do things for the sake of doing them. They were completely invested and intentional with every single aspect of their big day.
Although it was their wedding day, Esme and Zach used it to celebrate the important people in their lives. Their processional honoured Zach’s father who passed away 8 years ago, and Zach’s vows commemorated Esme’s family who had immigrated from Mexico to Canada. Zach explained how the monarch butterfly migrates each winter to Mexico, and each summer it returns to Canada. Born in Mexico and having “migrated” to Canada, Esme is Zach’s butterfly. As a surprise for his new bride, Zach ordered butterflies to be released during one of their family photos (sadly, they were still too sleepy to form a flock).

Another way Esme and Zach blessed their guests is by replacing the traditional place settings with little notes describing something special about each guest. Not only was it a fun game to find your seat, but it was a way they communicated just how much they loved every single person present.
Esme and Zach, thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your day! From getting to know your absolutely amazing bridal party to having a front row seat to your ceremony and vows, we are so happy to see two gems like you start a life together. We love you both! On vous aime beaucoup!
