Peggy and Ross’s wedding at Our Lady of Perpetual Help was a beautifully traditional celebration to begin their marriage. But Peggy and Ross also made their wedding their own with sweet moments, personal details, and striking architecture!
With an engagement session at Casa Loma–inspired by Kate and William–, Peggy and Ross are a couple who loves elegant but bold moments (something I love as well!). We were absolutely on the same page when we talked about having portraits taken outside their church. Peggy’s details began with a classically-neutral palette. Her cathedral veil and delicately-detailed dress set an elegant scene for Peggy’s blue shoes and red rose bouquet. What I also love is when grooms pay as much attention to their details! Ross’ gold and silver airplane cufflinks have become one of my absolute favourite details of all time.
After their ceremony and a relaxed lunch of McDonald’s, we headed out for portraits at the Alexander Muir Gardens. Although there were a few other wedding parties taking portraits at the main architecture, we found secluded areas to begin Peggy and Ross’ portraits. Vine-covered stone walls, hedge gardens, and perfect lawns were the perfect romantic backdrop to document such comfortable love! Peggy and Ross’s patience was eventually rewarded and when the other wedding parties left, we had the main staircase all to ourselves!
The wedding day wrapped up with a casual tea ceremony and reception at Orient Bistro, where close family and friends celebrated over an 11-course Cantonese dinner.
Peggy and Ross, from the time that you shared you wanted a Kate and William-inspired engagement session, I knew your wedding day would be a joy to photograph, and I wasn’t disappointed! Thank you for trusting me with your big day.
