Engagements

We’re so excited to share this beautiful R.C. Harris water treatment plant engagement session with you all! Not only is it our first of the year, but it’s also at one of the most beautiful locations Toronto has to offer! Sometimes the most beautiful things are found in the most unexpected places. Like meeting your future spouse at a birthday party. Or having your engagement session at a water treatment plant. Jen and Paul have now experienced both.

Jen and Paul both went to the same university. They had mutual friends but didn’t meet until after graduation. It’s really anyone’s guess how many times they crossed paths on campus without even knowing it (or maybe that’s just the romantic in us…) It was only at a mutual friend’s birthday party that they finally met. One of their mutual friends had told Jen about Paul, about how she just had to get to know him. When they finally met, there was something special there. Definitely. And then she gave him the wrong phone number. It was an accident that thankfully Paul didn’t read too much into. He had been told about Jen, and knew that she wasn’t that type of girl. Besides, there had been something special there. Definitely. When the confusion cleared, they went with friends to a sports game and came out officially dating.

And then she gave him the wrong phone number.

Jen and Paul are the kind of couple that is so warm, friendly, and trusting, you immediately feel comfortable with them. Jen’s bright smile and Paul’s relaxed conversation cinched it for us: documenting their wedding will be so. much. fun. When we first suggested the R.C. Harris water treatment plant as a location for their engagement session, they were all for it! For some, having your engagement photos at a treatment plant might be a little unorthodox but Jen and Paul easily saw the beauty in the buildings!

Jen and Paul, you are two of the happiest, most easy-going, joyful people we’ve ever worked with! In just a few hours, we could see what drew you guys to each other in the first place and what you continue to see in each other today: you are both kind, sincere, and clearly have the most fun together! We are so excited to continue capturing your love for each other in just a few short months when you finally say “I do” in October! Until then, we hope these photos help to grow your love for each other for the months and years ahead!
